I don't think so.

Many UFO stories involve people describing the number of windows on the spaceship. How would they find the time to do this? How would they remember? Wouldn't they latch on to a more interesting detail instead? I mean, if they were an odd shape, or had decoration, or glowed or something, you'd think that would distract you from counting, wouldn't it? When I look at a hotrod dragster car, I don't count the number of pipes coming out of the engine. I stare at the cool paint job, the style of the car, etc. I might notice if it's a sedan or a coupe, but not as much the windows. I don't count the windows on a cruise liner, and those look weird.
Another paranormal story involves a "witness" noticing that her fingernails were growing at a different rate than she was used to. Who in their right mind monitors the rate their damn fingernails are growing? It would have to be pretty friggin' fast for me to notice!

UFO theory

"Hi, I am just a teenager, but I am very interested in UFOs, extra terrestrials, etc. My school friends and I are strong believers. I have seen a ufo or two, and i was not alone when i saw each one, so i have witnesses. Many people wonder what they are doing here, and i have a theory. I believe they (aliens) are here because they signed a contract with Bally Fitness, and because they didn't allow the aliens to cancel, and because it affects their credit, i believe they want to attack. i am scared, yet fascinated by the thought of hostile beings in the universe who also have rippling muscles and tight abs. My friends and i are such strong believers because we understand that their are billions upon trillions of galaxies in the universe, and that it just isn't logical to think that we are the only life (intelligent life) in all the universe that enjoys a good workout. please send me your thoughts and opinions of ufos!"

Paranormal experience

Last February, me and my friend were out in a field in New Alaska, when we saw a giant square craft rise up from an ice sheet. It hovered in the sky for several minutes, changing colors and shapes right before our disbelieving eyes. Red hearts, green diamonds, yellow stars, and purple horseshoes. Then suddenly it rocketed off into space, leaving a trail of stars reading, "You will never get me lucky charms!"

Australian sighting

Some Aussie at Ufosoveramerica.com wrote, "just a note please don't think i am mad but something strange happened to me not that long ago . it was about 3.00 pm est in the july 2002 i think i picked up 2 men on the lancefield melbourne rd , and ask them wear they are going they said for fuel i sad ok then ."

Um...you `think' you picked up two men? Shouldn't you `know' before reporting something? Most people can swear they saw a UFO, instead of saying "oh, I think I saw one."

"...that all i remember about the whole thing . i awoke in the car some 140 km out of my way .7 hrs latter on that night . with a full tank of petrol and 200 dollars on the seat of the car , this is a true statement. and happened in melbourne australia . please note i did not see a broken down car on the side of the road .and the men did not seam to know what to say or do . maybe i am mad who knows , if you have any information like this can you pass it on to me."

So you want to find out what happened when you were drunk and you picked up those male prostitutes? You're on your own with that one, pal!

"ps the car smelt like acid for 2 or 3 days afterwards as well."

Well that explains it all. Stay away from those blotter sheets!

Bizarre stories of the paranormal, story 3

Location. Ahmedabad, India
Several boys riding their bicycles on their way to school claim to have seen two short, very pale white figures hiding behind some bushes. They claim the little figures had onion shaped heads, with large black sparkling eyes. One of the witnesses states he became ill after seeing the creatures and had to go home to "recover." His mother says he spent the day playing his X-Box.

Paranormal tales

Location. Zenica, Bosnia
A bizarre individual that said his name was "Mirsad" visited local UFO
investigator Rudolf Bosnjak, at home. The stranger spoke in a slow
monotone and appeared to be in a trance like state. He spoke about the latest line of Tupperware products and how the bible states that the earth was created in literally 168 hours, then gave Bosnjak a copy of the Watchtower and a photograph of his naked wife.

Astonishing Tales of the Paranormal

Location. Calama, Chile
One night, a 4-year old girl was sleeping in bed and had a nightmare. Terrified she ran yelling for her mother, who was surprised to see that the child's hair was standing up as if surrounded by a current of static electricity.

Bizarre stories of the strange, part 2

Location. Kingston Springs, Tennessee
The witness was just preparing to go to bed, when he heard a very loud
noise over the house. Thinking it was a low helicopter he looked out
the window and saw nothing. The noise was deafening and all of
the sudden it stopped. Later in the early morning the witness was
suddenly awakened by a presence getting into bed with him. He felt the
heat next to his body, and he was totally unable to move. Moments later
the blanket started to slowly come off his shoulders, and he saw an alien smiling down at him. The creature reportedly said, "This is for the good of the planet" and "don't worry, I'll use protection." The next moment, his pants came off.
The next morning, he awoke with a sore buttocks, a mysterious rash, and an intense desire to buy womens' shoes at the GAP.

Re-encounters of the third kind

When a person reports more than one UFO story, I feel it lessens the likelihood of it being even remotely true. A person reporting that he was struck by lightning is less credible when he says it happened to him a second time. The most credible UFO story is like a hit and run. They don't want to be found, so any encounter with them would be a mistake that the aliens wouldn't want to repeat. This is all to say that if you go to a website and have the same guy posting more than one "true story" about being abducted or seeing an alien, it's too ridiculous to be believed without some credible connection to the previous event.

Bizarre stories of the strange

Location. Reno, Nevada
Date: 2001 Time: night
For several months the witness reported seeing black helicopters, egg
shaped objects, triangles, cigar shaped craft, chevron shaped,
teardrop, etc. They flew over the area like a swarm of bees, mostly in
the middle of the night. One night an entity appeared in their home, it
stood next to the refrigerator, looked at the witness' son and then opened the fridge, rummaging through the food inside. After devouring a tupperware container full of old turkey, expired sandwich meat, a whole jar of pickles and a package of moldy taco cheese, it turned to the observer and said, "Thanks, dudes. I was totally starved from traveling the galaxy and taking all those drugs." He paused. "Or was it the other way around? Where am I?" Seeing the alien stumble, the witness then offered it a bed so it could sleep off the effects of whatever drugs it had been taking. The following morning, they took the alien to waffle house, but before they could ask it for some form of payment for the morning repast, the alien said it was "going to the bathroom" and disappeared out of sight, leaving them stuck with the bill.
