Dear Microsoft,
Your "upgrade" of Internet Explorer actually makes your product worse. In your newest version of IE, you have removed my favorite features from the program in order to make your software more like Firefox, which makes people even less likely to use your product. I could just as well use Firefox.
1. I used to be able to click "page source" and go directly to a notepad editor displaying the html, which I could edit to my heart's content. Now that you decided to format it exactly like Firefox, the html is read only, and I have to directly open files in notepad, which takes extra time.
2. I used to be able to delete a html file while viewing it, and the html file would close automatically. Now, just like Firefox, the html file stays open even when the file is gone. I don't want that.
3. The search option in your new IE is just like Firefox, which means it does a "realtime" search of the html page as you're typing. I find that more of an annoyance than a convenience. There's nothing more annoying than being constantly told that your search query doesn't exist because you're not done typing.
4. You redesigned all the icons, including the refresh symbol, so they're harder to read.
5. You put a non-removable "Live Search" tool on your browser so that it tortures you with error messages when you open web pages on your desktop while you're offline. This fact alone has forced me to choose Firefox over your browser. The internet search tool is as unremovable as Win 32 files.
I will discover more faults with your product as I am forced to use it now that my computer has been upgraded.
